Mongeham to Woolage Green to Mongeham (approx. 41 km)

This is a medium level bike ride. Allow 6 hours in total, going at a moderate pace. Start in Gt. Mongeham and head toward Northbourne. Go past Northbourne and straight over the next crossroads. Keep going past the junction on the left, and also passed the next junction on the right, until you get to the next turning on the right at a place called Updown, take tis turning. Follow this road passed a few private houses, until you reach the next junction, which points to a Hotel/Pub/Restaurant called 'The Blazing Donkey'. Continue down low road, over the A256 to Eastry. On reaching Eastry, turn right in to the main high street, until you reach the next turning on the left. Take this and continue to follow this road on to Woodnesborough, continue on to Marshborough, Guilton and the Ash. Cross the Sandwich to Canterbury road on to Nash, and follow this road on to Perry. Then from Perry to Preston, Preston to Grove, Grove to Wickhambreaux. On leaving Wickhambreaux, turn left to Ickham. Ickham to Bramling. Bramling to Bossington. Bossington on to Adisham. Adisham to Ratling. Turn right through Ratling and on to Aylesham. Stay on this same road, don't come off, and follow it on to Snowdon. Turn right and go passed the Snowdon train station on to Woolage Village. Go through Woolage Village and out the other side. Go straight across the cross roads, and up to Woolage Green. The 'Two Sawyers' pub is on the main through road, on the right hand side of the green. Stop for lunch, then leave the pub heading right as you leave the pub entrance. This will take you up a moderately step hill and then a steep drop the other side. This is the west end of Shepherdswell. when you reach the next junction, turn left and the road snakes its way over the railway tracks and then at the next junction turn right on to cycle route 16 , which is Barfrestone. Go passed 'The Yew Tree' pub and follow the road own to the next junction, at which point take the road right uphill back towards Shepherdswell. Half way along, take the turning on the left along 'Long Road'. Take this road on to Tilmanstone Industrial Estate. At Tilmanstone Industrial Estate, take the second turning on the left and follow this road on to the next left turn which will take you on to Tilmanstone village. Go through the village and out the other side, and at the next junction turn left passed Tilmanstone Church. Follow this down hill and up the other side. At the next junction turn left and on to the old Dover > Sandwich road. On reaching the A256, just before is the cycle path, take this on to the main A256 roundabout. Follow the roundabout all the way back on yourself so that you are now heading back towards Dover. Take the nect turning on the left which takes you towards Northbourne School. Go passed the school and on to Northbourne then back to Gt. Mongeham.
