On travelling to Canterbury from Dover, come off at the turning to Bridge. Drive through Bridge and out the otherside, take the left turning pointing toward Pett Bottom. Approx 2.3 miles down this country road you reach a fairly sharp bend, the pub is on it the otherside. Ample parking around the back.
You can only really get to this pub, if you drive, unless you are prepared to walk for 4 hours like we did.
Good location, right in the sticks, near nothing. Totally relaxed atmosphere, very idyllic. As you sit outside looking across the rolling farmers fields (not literally) you get a real sense of what Kent is all about, and the way that life should be, IE. no work, no cars, no pollution (both sound and other) very, very tranquil. The menu is pretty good, but not great for vegetarians. A pretty good selection of beers, and a cat which is extremely old.
